Best Movies Showcasing Solar Power

We would like to draw your attention to movies that championed the solar power industry. It’s hard to imagine the sun being a supporting actor, but at least these movies don’t make light of its value in the world. So, when you’re perusing the Netflix list, consider looking up these best movies showcasing solar power:

  1. Gravity- This is a 2013 sci-fi thriller that ended up with 7 Oscars. George Clooney and Sandra Bullock do a great job enthralling audiences in the storyline. And, the International Space Station provided some of the footage of its 262,400 solar cells. Learn more.
  2. Race the Sun- This was not a big box office hit in 1996 when it came out. After all, it’s the typical bunch of misfits trying to create something memorable with their lives. This leads them to the development of a solar powered car and then an invitation to the World Solar Challenge in Australia. Believe it or not, Halle Berry, Casey Affleck, and even James Belushi star in this little known solar applause.
  3. Wall-E- Pixar produced this film in 2008 as a means of casting some light on the waste problems we have here. The main character, Wall-E, isn’t just sweet, he’s also solar-powered. So, when he gets swept up in some space adventures, it’s easy to see why viewers are more than pleased to go along for the ride. Read the reviews.
  4. Sunshine– Here’s another sci-fi thriller for you. When the people of earth determine that the sun is dying, they send a massive spaceship with a nuclear device to reignite it. While the main characters are not hugely famous individuals, the crew of supporting actors make it a worthwhile film that depicts our vital relationship with the sun and its many benefits to our planet. This movie will definitely make you jump at various times, but the real fear factor is in the possibility of the sun “going out.” That kind of darkness would be the end of life on earth. Except maybe for the cockroaches, but who wants to live here with them?

Solar energy is a vital part of human life. It provides us with the Vitamin D our bodies need and the ability to see where we are going. Add to that, the ability to harness its tremendous power to provide energy to our homes, cars, and other items, and the sun becomes a very important resource. If you’d like to learn more, click this.
